The Euro, Japanese Yen & Swiss Franc were some of the best-performing major currencies as coronavirus contagion fears continued to eat away at global growth prospects. Both the S&P 500 & Dow Jones declined 4.42% in their worst singleday performance in over2 years. If these hold on to their declines tomorrow, it will be the worst week on Wall Street since Aug 2011 as equities face lows from early 2018.During the Wall Street trading session, Gavin Newsom the Governor of California noted that the state is monitoring 8.4k patients for the Wuhan virus. The economy of California is the largest within the US which poses a downside risk for the nation if it slows due to measures to prevent the virus from spreading.
