Qatari LNG Sails for Texas

A giant LNG tanker will shortly leave he Qatari port of Ras Laffan for Sabine Pass, Texas, carrying a cargo of LNG equivalent to almost 5 billion cubic feet of natural gas for the Golden Pass LNG terminal. The LNG will be used to commission the first 1 Bcf/d phase of what will be a 2 Bcf/d facility when the second phase is completed in the first quarter of 2011, a Golden Pass spokesman said Tuesday.
