Singapore LNG Corp. appears to be on the verge of awarding an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract for Singapore's first LNG import terminal. The government agency, which took over the project last year, initially intended to award the contract by the end of 2009, but missed the deadline (IOD Jul.1,p7). Sources say the contract for the terminal - on which front-end engineering and design work has been completed - will now likely be awarded by the end of January.
