Delegations from the Kurdish Regional Government (KRG) in northern Iraq and from Baghdad have held talks on resuming oil exports after a seven-month break, but assertions that an agreement is imminent are distinctly one-sided, a KRG official tells International Oil Daily. He claims Baghdad has been talking to the media be- fore it talks to the KRG, and that despite a Kurdish delegation visiting the federal capital to discuss an export resumption, the sides have failed to reach a final agree- ment (IOD May12,p3).
