Trading places: pharmacy for property

It is not an obvious choice to make, moving from being a pharmacist to running a shopping centre, but it was pharmacy that started my love of retail, customers, shops and sales. After studying at the "Welsh School of Pharmacy in Cardiff and graduating in 1982,I embarked on a career with Boots The Chemists that was to last over 25 years. A pre-registration year during which I spent as much time on the sales floor as in the dispensary gave me my first taste of the world of retail and commerce.
