Fenofibrate and risk of minor amputations in diabetes.

摘要

In The Lancet today, Kushwin Rajamani and co-workers~1 report a further analysis of the FIELD trial of fenofibrate in patients with type 2 diabetes,~2 which shows a large effect of treatment on the rate of minor amputations during the 5-year study. This new report adds important information that gives clues to mechanisms and grounds for possible changes to guidelines for clinical management.
