PV Oil buys first cargo of Russian ESPO Blend crude

Hanoi—Vietnam has bought its first cargo of Russia’s ESPO Blend crude following the commissioning of a new sulfur recovery unit at its 130,000 b/d Dung Quat refinery, sources with knowledge of the matter said Tuesday. State-owned PV Oil was heard to have purchased 700,000 barrels of the crude for July delivery from an undisclosed trader at a premium of around $3.50/barrel to Platts Dubai crude assessment on CFR basis, traders said.
