Carnarvon sells Thai oil assets to Loyz Energy

Sydney—Australia’s Carnarvon Petroleum has agreed to sell half its 40% stake in three concessions in Thailand to Singapore-based Loyz Energy for up to $65 million. The interests being sold are in the L44/43, L33/43 and SW1A concessions, which are currently producing 1,200-1,400 b/d of oil in total, Loyz Energy said in a statement Monday. According to operator ECO Orient, the assets’ output is expected to rise to 3,000 b/d by June and 5,000 b/d by December this year, following a new round of development drilling, Loyz added.
