Singapore-Thailand’s new military-led gov- ernment is making good on its promise to reform the kingdom’s energy pricing policy to reflect cost and allow more efficient alloca- tion of resources. After eliminating cross-subsidies on gaso- line and diesel in late August, the Energy Policy Management Committee on Tuesday approved a Baht 1 ($0.03)/kg increase in the price of compressed natural gas, locally known as natural gas for vehicles (NGV), effective Wednesday.
