Thailand, Myanmar to discuss energy during state visit

Singapore—The investments of Thailand’s PTT Exploration and Production into Myanmar and its probable bids for new exploration licenses there will likely be a topic of conversation during a three-day official visit by that country’s President Thein Sein that begins July 22 in Bangkok. The state visit will run through July 24, according to a release July 19 by the Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs, with Thein Sein meeting with Thai Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra to discuss bilateral relations, development cooperation and plans for a trans-border corridor link.
