Vancouver-TransCanada is pressing ahead with pipeline additions in northeastern British Columbia at a time when producers and rival Spectra Energy are warning that without approval of plans to export LNG to Asia development of the region's Horn River shale basin faces delays. TransCanada said April 29 it has a contractual agreement to add 100,000 Mcf/d of natural gas pipeline capacity by 2014, rising to 300,000 Mcf/d by 2020 to an approved pipeline designed to feed 630,000 Mcf/d from Horn River to its Alberta network in 2014.
