UAE’s TAQA sees second-quarter production fall 8%

Dubai-The Abu Dhabi National Energy Company, or TAQA, said August 9 its production for the second quarter of 2010 totaled 127,500 b/d of oil equivalent, down 7.7% on the same period last year, due to maintenance in the UK and reduced Canadian natural gas output. The company’s North American upstream unit, TAQA North, nonetheless accounted for the lion’s share of production at 87,700 boe/d, while its European subsidiaries-TAQA Energy and TAQA Bratani-accounted for 8,200 boe/d and 31,600 boe/d, respectively.
