Transocean says new rig deal can bring $350 million

Houston-Contract driller Transocean said its deepwater semisubmersible rig GSF Celtic Sea has been hired for a three-year contract that will result in revenues of roughly $350 million or a dayrate of around $319,000. The rig will work offshore Angola beginning in the second quarter of 2011, Transocean said in a statement, adding the name of the company hiring the rig would not be disclosed.
