Caracas-Workers from Venezuelan state oil company PDVSA, accompanied by military attachments, started taking over oilfield service companies in the oil-rich Lake Maracaibo area of Zulia state, Energy and Oil Minister Rafael Ramirez disclosed May 8.The move came hours after President Hugo Chavez signed a bill allowing for the nationalization of such assets.
