TFI board acts on Responsible Ag; industry meets in San Diego

The Fertilizer Institute's (TFI) board of directors approved a Responsible Ag initiative Feb. 4 at its 2014 Fertilizer and Business Meeting. Cheryl Schmura, vice president, CHS Nutrients, CHS Inc., announced the decision, saying it would have three major components, the first entailing retai I storage and handling, which would follow federal regulations. Second, the initial products to be addressed would be ammonium nitrate and anhydrous ammonia. And third, it would have an independent self-sustaining board of directors. TFI would provide a suite of educational information that would aid Responsible Ag.
