Petrobras Chief Gabrielli Likely to be Replaced by Gas Boss

Jose Sergio Gabrielli, chief executive of Brazilian state-controlled oil giant Petrobras, will likely step down after a board meeting Feb. 9 confirms the company’s current natural gas chief, Maria das Gracas Silva Foster, as his replacement. Petrobras issued a regulatory filing and press release Monday confirming that Petrobras Chairman Guido Mantega, who is also Brazil’s finance minister, will propose Foster, 58, to take over as chief executive at the board’s next meeting on Feb 9.
