Bahrain’s National Oil and Gas Authority (Noga) will review proposals for the island nation’s first LNG receiving terminal over the next few months before beginning negotiations in the second quarter, it said Monday (IOD Jan.12’12). “Noga has received various proposals recommending various LNG terminal solutions ranging from floating storage and regasification units to conventional onshore storage and regasification,” a spokesperson said in an emailed response to questions. “The proposals are now being evaluated technically and commercially. Several meetings have been held with the tenderers to understand their proposal better.”
