UK-listed Fortune Oil has formed a joint venture with PetroChina gas subsidiary Kunlun and large private gas distributor Xinao to supply gas in northeastern Hebei province. Fortune will take a 20% stake, while Kunlun will have 34% and Xinao 46%. Fortune said Thursday that the venture will sell gas to 17 cities in the Shijiazhuang municipal region. The deal will give the UK firm access to more industrial and residential customers. Partnering Kunlun also ensures a reliable supply of gas at competitive prices.
