About spiral bevel gear pairs manufacturing under single and low production conditions

The setups calculation methods for cutting or grinding of spiral bevel gear pairs (gear and pinion) using the same tools (two-sided tool-head or grinding wheel) for all gear flanks machining are proposed. Gear is being machined by two- or one-sided method without machine readjustment and tool change when passing to the opposite tool flanks machining. Pinion is being machined by one-sided method without tool change but with machine readjustment when passing to opposite teeth flanks machining. Hypoid offset of workpiece absents at all operations performance. Recommendations for tools selection and setup calculation together with quality of obtained pair analysis are given.
