Improvement of Al_2O_3-Cr_2O_3-ZrO_2 Bricks for Waste Melting Kiln

摘要

In a waste-melting kiln, the service life was about doubled by increasing the Cr_2O_3 content from 7 mass percent to 24 mass percent, resulting in a great reduction of overall kiln refractory cost. In the future, further cost reductions are expected by improving material properties and installation methods.
