RAISING THE BAR: Beede's new telltale alert bar for vehicles applications uses 30 LEDs

Beede Instruments is expanding its CAN-based NexSysLink family of engine instrumentation products with the introduction of a telltale alert light bar. It incorporates 30 LED illuminated icons to alert vehicle users of engine fault conditions and indicate general operating functions. A built-in audible alarm provides an added level of security for critical alert conditions, the company said. The light bar directly reads and processes SAE J1939 compliant CAN communication and serial data from any NexSysLink Master Node Instrument. Up to 10 factory-configurable discrete switched high or low inputs provide additional sender input flexibility. An optional discrete output capable of switching up to one amp is available, the company said.
