Paul Richards' family must have realised back in the 1970s, when he was at school, that one day he would become a thriving entrepreneur of the garden retail and growing industry. His father was a dairy farmer with a bit of land near Bournemouth Airport (then Hum Airport) and although the young Paul was clearly familiar with cattle and livestock, it was the lure of growing plants that took up all his spare time, He confesses to being an avid grower of plants from the age of four.
