LEXUS DETAILS 2013 HEV LINEUP

Lexus, Toyota's luxury 6ar division, has unveiled several new model year 2013 HEVs that include technology advances compared to their earlier versions. For example, the new 2013 GS 450h features the latest generation of the Lexus hybrid drivetrain that includes an advanced direct and port fuel injection system with an Atkinson cycle 3.5 liter V6 engine mated to a compact, water cooled permanent magnet electric motor powered by a high performance nickel-metal hydride (NiMH) battery pack. The two powerplants drive the rear wheels independently and in tandem, as required to meet driver demands.
