Stability analysis for seed yield and its components in urdbean (Vigna mungo (L.) Hepper)

The materials comprised of 31 blackgram genotypes collected from various research centres in the country. These genotypes were grown in a randomized block design with three replications in three different seasons namely kharif, rabi and summer during1997-98 at Agricultural College and Research Institute, Madurai. Observations were recorded on five randomly selected plants in each replication at the time of harvest. The characters studied include clusters per plant, pods per plant, seeds per pod, 100 seed weight and seed yield per plant. The data were analysed over environments for stability parameters following Eberhart and Russell (1966).
