摘要

An experiment with 22 divers genotypes of Urdbean (Vigna mungo (L.) Hepper)) was conducted at research farm College of Agriculture, Raipur (Chhattisgarh). Studied the genotypic and phenotypic variance, heritability and genetic advance for yield, its components and important agronomical characteristics. The highest magnitude of genotypic coefficient of variation was observed for leaflet per plant and plant height. High heritability coupled with high genetic advance was observed for plant height and leaflet per plant indicating prevalence of additive gene effect in their expression and hence, for these characters would be effective.
