The UK has seen significant improvements in workplace health and safety over the last 40 years. There is a troubling fact behind this success story, though: if you look at the demographics of our profession, there's no doubt that we are an ageing workforce. At the same time, the needs of business are changing as the UK economy becomes oriented towards financial and other services.
