PPG reports record earnings in Q2 2012; Announces 11% growth versus Q2 2011

PPG Industries reported net sales for the second quarter 2012 of $4 billion. Net income for the quarter was $362 million, or $2.34 per diluted share, including non-recurring charges. Adjusted net income for the quarter, excluding the non-recurring charges, was $365 million, or $2.36 per diluted share. Second quarter 2011 net sales were $4 billion,and net income was $340 million, or $2.12 per diluted share.
