Portugal wants to split off and merge the merchant has business of state oil firm Galp Energia with state power utility Electridade de Portugal (EdP) and, separately, combine the country's gas and power network infrastructures into an independent regualted tranhsport business, Portuguese Economy Minister Carlos Tavares announced late last week.
