Wire New England makes successful return to Worcester

Wire New England, the WAI New England Chapter's networking, information and tabletop event, was held Wednesday, October 13,2004, at the Holiday Inn in Worcester, Massachusetts. With three outstanding presentations and 36 tabletop displaying companies, the one day program was another chapter success. The presentations covered three diverse industry-related topics: "The Copper Market: A Review, Update & Outlook" by John Gross, Director of Metals at Scott Brass; "Demystifying Fluoropolymers" by Per M. Nelson, Advanced Chemist-Fluoroplastics for 3M Dyneon; and "Lean Manufacturing" by REW International Partner Bill Southward. "All three speakers gave excellent talks," said Wire New England Chairman David Stackpole of Nutmeg Wire Inc. "There were at least 23 attendees in each session, and a good deal of information and worthwhile exchanges of questions and answers were to be found in each of the presentations. The people I talked with who attended said they gained new information that they could use - whether sitting in on only one session or all three."
