John William Taylor and the founding of the Leeds Naturalists' Field Club

Having just read Peter Larner's (2014) interesting account of the "Leeds Naturalists' Club 1870-2014", by a strange coincidence I came across another source dealing with the same topic. The document was written by the Leeds conchologist, John WilliamTaylor, and was discovered in the J. Wilfrid Jackson archive at Buxton Museum and Art Gallery (BMAG) where I work as a volunteer. Details from the document show that Taylor played a major role in establishing natural history as the main focus of the LNFC.
