8 months on since my last diary and you wouldn't believe that so much could happen in the world of mushrooms. On any number of occasions the mushroom world has been tipped on its head, with rumours, counter rumours and downright lies (mainly from thesupermarkets). Dewfresh came and went from the industry without so much as a ripple. Greyfriars lost their Tesco business and not a 'single criticism' of supermarket trading practices has been made. The Dutch mushroom farm whose product replaced Greyfriars went bust recently, (how extraordinary), I suspect because the price they were being paid was too high! Amazingly the Office of Fair Trading investigation has revealed 'nothing' despite being supplied with lots of 'real evidence'. Strange that we have just re-elected a government that has destroyed hundreds of small UK businesses.
