WANO - goals, tasks and success

In the intervening years since the Chernobyl disaster much has been achieved to shape WANO into a well-structured, global organisation, with a clear mission and well-developed programmes and procedures for the fulfilment of its mission. Plant managers could avoid repeat disasters if they learned from each other and emulated each others best practices. Today, WANO stands on a platform of an enviable track record. In this presentation the author will attempt to describe the organisation and processes, current goals and performance.
