Most fishos go to a lot of trouble to collect a variety of traditional baits like worms and yabbies when targeting native fish. But out along the Murrumbidgee River the locals are catching fish with cheese these days! And it's not's such a crazy ideaas it first sounds. In the past Murray cod have reputedly been caught on boiled eggs, ripe tomatoes and even jelly beans, so why not cheese! And it doesn't seem to matter to the fish whether it's a fancy tasting test or plain only cheese fingers. The results are the same regardless - great hook-ups of native fish, especially Murray cod.
