Changes To Antidepressant Black Box On Suicide Recommended By FDA Panel

FDA's findings that the suicidality risk with antidepressants does not extend beyond young adults should be added to the current "black box" warning on pediatric suicidality, the Psychopharmacologic Drugs Advisory Committee says.The panel voted 6-2 in favor of modifying the black box warning in class labeling after reviewing FDA's meta-analysis of adult antidepressant-induced suicidality at a Dec. 13 meeting.
