A 20-year milestone.

Welcome to the 20th anniversary of the creation of Journal of the Association of Nurses in AIDS Care (JANAC). We are kicking off this anniversary volume with the commemorative logo that you see on the cover and an opportunity to hear from the people who made everything possible. I am pleased to have guest editorials from our two editors emeriti, Jeanne Kalinoski, the founding editor and editor from 1989 until 1996, and Richard Sowell, editor from 1996 until 2007. Their editorials shed light on the history of the journal, how it is intertwined with ANAC, and the dedication needed to start, maintain, and improve a scientific journal.
