The battery program at the Lawrence Berkeley National Lab (LBNL) has several positions available at both the Senior/ Staff Scientist level and at the Scientist level in the areas of advanced Li-based battery systems. Depending on the level of experience, the person will serve as a Principal Investigator in the Batteries for Advanced Transportation Technologies (BATT) Program (see http://berc.lbl.gov/BATT/BATT.html) and work with a world-class team to understand and alleviate the multitude of problems that prevent Li-ion batteries from being used in hybrid-, plug-in-, and electric vehicles.
