The development of this contraption began with the need to find a way of cutting an even tread on wooden toy wheels. However, woodturners should find plenty of use for it in other applications. I'd bought a 300 Series Dremel Motor Tool mounted on a Dremel Drill Press Work Station #220-01 (Photo.1). As a general purpose drill press, it wasn't up to the task and was replaced by a Hafco mill drill. The Dremel was packed away. Then, while dreaming up ways of cutting tread on wooden wheels, I unpacked the Dremel and had another look at it.
