Imports of LP gas for fiscal year 2009 (from April 2009 to March 2010) by wholesaler in Japan turned out as seen at the table hereunder. Each wholesaler of LP gas controlled its import volume in order to cope with slumping demand in Japan. Consequently, it was only Sumitomo Corporation that increased its imports from a year ago. The imports of the other companies excluding Japan Gas Energy Corporation decreased from last year.
