Thermal Coal Market Report of globalCOAL (October)-Sharp increase of spot price at South African market-

In October 2010 at South African thermal coal market, the spot price increased drastically and the spot index price rose by more than 8 US dollars in one month, while Australian market turned upward from the middle of the month and the spot index price reached 100s US dollars in late October, but thereafter slowed down and turned downward before the end of the month. As result the difference between prices of two markets which was expanded to more than 10 US dollars last month was reduced by below 5 US dollars.
