History and present day of Krasnyi Metallist

Open Joint-Stock Company Krasnyi Metallist (Red Metal Worker) is one of the largest Ukrainian enterprises engineering articles for coal mining industry. The plant was founded in 1916 as a shell enterprise for the needs of the First World War. Once the civil -war was finished, municipal authorities made one of the earliest resolutions to restore enterprises in the city, including missile plant, which was refitted into agricultural implements manufacture in 1921. The plant's profile was completely determined in 1928 - electromechanical production, and the company received its current name "Krasnyi Metallist". This was the first step in domestic engineering of drilling mining equipment. The enterprise expanded with foundry, mechanical assembling workshop, and other sites for production of mining machinery, automation devices, and labor safety instruments.
