PCBL to complete expansion and debottlenecking projects by March 2012

PHILLIPS Carbon Black Ltd., (PCBL) the leading carbon black producer in the country, is in the process of enhancing the production capacity of its carbon black plant at Cochin by 50,000-tpa, in addition to debottlenecking its plant at Durgapur. The latter exercise is expected to increase capacity by 12,000-tpa. Both projects are expected to attain completion by the end of the current fiscal. Meanwhile, PCBL has reported a 14.17% drop in its net profit for the second quarter of the current fiscal, in its unaudited financial results.
