State Officials Propose to Overhaul Minimum Qualifications for New Advisers

LOS ANGELES-The California Department of Pesticide Regulation March 16 proposed revising its minimum qualifications for new pest control advisers.Under the proposed changes,first-time applicants for agricultural pest control adviser licenses would gain some flexibility in meeting the educational and/or work experience requirements,according to CDPR documents.The department proposed allowing first-time applicants to use internships,master's theses,dissertations,senior projects,independent studies,enterprise projects,seminars,and/or work experience to-help satisfy the course work and work qualifications.
