Transneft delays Baltic pipeline expansion

The board of Russia's state-owned oil pipeline operator Transneft has postponed until the first half of 2006 expansion of the Baltic Pipeline System to 60-mil mt/yr (1.2-mil b/d) of crude from 50-mil mt/yr,Transneft said Feb 25.The company earlier had expected to expand the pipeline,which transports crude from western Siberia and the northern Timan-Pechora province to the Baltic Sea terminal of Primorsk,by the end of this year.
