Development of China's 4,000km (2,486 mile) cross-country natural gas pipeline is progressing smoothly and the outcome of the project's final joint venture contract negotiations with foreign investors won't affect the current status,Chen Geng,president of PetroChina,which has a 50% stake in the project,said Mar 24.
