US agency calls for Halliburton investigation

The Defence Contract Audit Agency on Jan 13 asked the Pentagon's Inspector General to launch a formal investigation into claims embattled Halliburton unit Kellogg Brown & Root overcharged the US govenrment for fuel KBR imported from Kuwait into Iraq as part of a controver-sial no-bid contract to rebuidlD Iraq's oil infrastructure,a Pentagon spokeswoman confirmed Jan 15.
