The NWPA member estates have produced 11579.182 MT of made tea in 2009-10 as against 11568.872 MT in 2008-09. The coffee production was 691.677 MT in 2009-10 as against 686.427 MT in the previous year. As regards Cardamom, the production was 124.180 MT in 2009-10 as against 122.190 MT in the previous year. The district has fared well with production of all crops. The credit is due largely to the Executive Staff and work force of the member estates who have stressed hard to achieve higher levels of productivity with able guidance and technical support extended by UPASI Tea Advisory Service.
