Kuwait awards billion dollar contracts for Clean Fuels Project

Three Kuwaiti companies have been awarded contracts to construct the Clean Fuels Project (CFP) after Kuwait's Central Tenders Committee cleared the path to begin work on the long-delayed project worth some US$12 billion. Ahmad Al-Kuleib, chairman of the committee told Kuwait News Agency that the contracts comprise engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and assistance during preparation works for operation. Also included are operation works, test performance for the project at Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC) which is in charge of the CFP.
