Anglian water has told its suppliers and contractors to reduce their carbon footprint or face the prospect of missing out on work with the utility. The company wants its suppliers to baseline their carbon footprint and develop a strategy to adapt by March 31, 2009. Nirmal Kotecha, head of Anglian Water's supply chain management, said: "We will be seeking suppliers who are making the same commitment as ourselves to adaptation and reduction in carbon emissions.
