SHELL has suffered a delay to a maintenance programme on the Bijupira Salema field off Brazil following downtime problems with an accommodation vessel chartered from Hornbeck Offshore, writes Gareth Chetwynd. Described as a multiple service vessel, the 267-berth HOS Achiever was contracted by Shell in January to carry out maintenance on the the Flu-minense floating production, storage and offloading vessel. The vessel has to leave the job in early April after reported problems with the dynamic positioning system and was sent to the Estaleiro Maua ship-yard.
