January The beginning of 2013 saw fire provisions within Local Acts for warehouses, car parks and tall buildings repealed, although many of the provisions relating to fire service access were retained. From this date, designers of new buildings to be occupied by public authorities also had to show that they have considered the use of high-efficiency systems for heat and power.
